Mixing Bowl
- Ingredients
- For Graham Cracker Crust Preparation
Graham cracker crumbs | 1 ½ cups
Butter | 6 to 7 Tablespoons
Sugar | 2 Tablespoons
Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon
- For Cheesecake
Cream cheese | 1 cup
Sugar | 1 cup
Salt | ⅛ teaspoon
Sour cream | ⅔ cups
Eggs | 4 large
Vanilla extract | 1 ½ teaspoons
Directions
- You need to start with the graham cracker crust, which involves mixing graham cracker crumbs with sugar and melted butter. Mix these ingredients well with a fork or hand beater. Pour the mixture into the baking pan. Apply pressure with your fingers and make a smooth and flat base. Now follow these steps:
- Beat the cream cheese with a hand or electronic mixer in a mixing bowl. Don’t beat too hard; stop when you get a smooth texture.
- Add vanilla extract, sour cream, and salt to the cream cheese and mix with a spatula. Alternatively, you can use an electric mixer with a slow speed to achieve an even mixture.
- Pour slightly beaten eggs into the mixture and use a spatula for thorough mixing.
- Set your oven to 325F (160C) and pre-heat it for 15 minutes.
- Pour the batter into the pan. Use the central rack of the oven to place the pan and bake for 60 to 65 minutes. The light golden edges or the puffiness of the sides indicate that it is time to remove the pan.
- Place it at room temperature for 6 hours before putting it in the refrigerator. After chilling, enjoy it with toppings like fresh fruits, honey, almonds, etc.
Bonus Tips
- Use all the ingredients at room temperature to get the perfect creamy texture for cheesecake.
For a smooth texture, pour eggs into the batter after thoroughly mixing the cream cheese and sugar.
