It combines pie and cheesecake flavors. The crispy crust, caramelized apple pie filling, and crumbly topping offer an unforgettable experience.
Ingredients
1 | can apple pie filling
1 | prepared graham cracker crust
2 | packages of cream cheese, softened
½ | cup white sugar
¼ | cup caramel sauce
¼ | teaspoon vanilla extract
⅔ | cup chopped pecans
12 | pecan halves
2 | large eggs
Directions
- Use a 9-inch pan and set the prepared graham cracker crust on it after greasing and heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Pour one-fourth portion of apple pie filling on the crust.
- Pour cream cheese, vanilla, and sugar into a mixing bowl. Get a smooth mixture with an electric mixer.
- Add eggs one by one and use the mixer in between to have a smooth and fluffy filling. Use the mixer at low to medium speed for beating.
- Pour the mixture over the apple pie filling and crust and smooth the surface with a spatula. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, and turn off the flame when the sides become golden. The center will jiggle when you move the pan.
- Mix three-fourths of apple pie filling and caramel sauce in a saucepan over the stove for caramel apple frosting. Don’t overheat it; make it warm for thorough mixing and smoothness.
- After cooling, pour the sauce over the chilled cheesecake and cover the edges with pecan halves. Sprinkle pecan pieces in the center and refrigerate for another hour.
- Serve and enjoy with fresh apple slices.
