Have you ever tried German cheesecake for its unique flavors? Quark cheese is the secret ingredient, making this recipe unique from other cheesecake variants. It offers a mild tangy flavor to this dessert and a heavenly experience. Follow the simple steps mentioned- below and bake it like a chef at home.

Ingredients

  • Salted butter (softened) | 3/4 cup + 2 Tablespoon

  • Granulated sugar | 1 cup

  • Eggs | 6

  • All-purpose flour | 1 cup

  • Quark cheese | 4 cups

  • Vanilla sugar | 1 Pack (9 gram)

  • Vanilla extract | 2 teaspoon

  • Lemon juice | 1 tablespoon

  • Vanilla pudding powder | 1 pack

Directions

  • Grease a 9-inch baking pan with oil. Adjust the parchment paper. Turn on the oven to 350 degrees F and preheat for 15 minutes.
  • For crust preparation, pour 1 egg, 2/3 cup butter, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, and flour into a mixing bowl and stir with a hand beater. Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth the surface by applying pressure with your fingers.
  • For cheesecake batter, pour cream, remaining butter, and granulated sugar into a mixing bowl and use an electric mixer for one minute for a fluffy texture.
  • Separate the white and yolk of five eggs. Pour the yolks into the mixture one by one using a mixer. Add quark cheese, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and vanilla sugar and mix. Add vanilla pudding powder and beat until smooth.
  • Take a separate bowl, pour the egg whites, and use the electric mixer for 5 minutes. You will get stiff egg whites. Pour them into the batter and fold gently for thorough mixing.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and smooth the level with a spatula. Now, bake for 60 minutes. Turn off the oven when the edges become golden and let it stay there for 10 minutes for complete cooking.
  • Place the pan on a cooling rack, and when it comes to room temperature, refrigerate
  • Enjoy with whipped cream or fresh fruits.

Bonus Tips

  • If quark cheese is not available, you can use whole-milk ricotta cheese for the same recipe.
