Ingredients
5 eggs | Yolks and 5 white eggs
1 tablespoon | Cream of Tartar
¼ cup | Granulated sugar
8 oz | Cream cheese
¼ cup | Melted butter
½ cup | Milk
2 tablespoons | Cornstarch
¼ cup | Flour
Directions
- Add butter, cream cheese, and sugar to a bowl and thoroughly mix all the items.
- Now place this bowl on low heat and cook it for a while.
- Pour the eggs white and yolks into this mixture and mix them gently.
- Add cornstarch, flour, vanilla extract, milk, and the remaining ingredients in this mixture, and again make a perfect mixture of all these items.
- Preheat the oven to 330 degrees and prepare the 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and oil.
- Now add the mixed eggs to this pan and wait a little until it is half baked.
- Pour all the remaining mixture and eggs wisely on these eggs and make a good layer of this mixture from the top.
- Leave this pan in the oven for a maximum of 1 hour and 10 minutes at the same heat degree.
- When the baking time is up, carefully remove the pan and transfer the cake onto a flat plate. Place it in the freezer for a quick chill to lock in its flavors.
- Once cooled, slice the cake into 8 even pieces—precision is key for the perfect presentation!
- Add the finishing touch by dusting the top with confectioner’s sugar or a sprinkle of vibrant matcha powder. The cake is ready to be served.
